History of Sciences

Al-Khwarizmi developed the concept of the algorithm
in mathematics (which is a reason for his being called
the grandfather of computer science by some people).
Abu Ja’far Muhammad Bin Musa al-Khawarizmi was
the founding father of algebra, a new science that revolutionized
not only mathematics, geometry, trigonometry
but had profound positive effects on all
branches of science and art! Algebra was unifying theory
that allowed rational numbers, irrational numbers,
geometrical magnitudes all treated to be as algebraic
objects. 1 His most famous book is titled “al-kitab almukhtasr
fi Hisab al-Jabr wa al-Muqabala” from
which the word algebra was derived. This brief and
short book in mathematics (al-kitab al-mukhtasr fi
Hisab) is highlighting the comparison, competition
and cancelling out figures on two sides of an equation!.
